The Manfrotto BOGEN 3157N Quick Release Connect Plate RC2 is well made, and makes a sturdy quick release mount for your camera.
Used with my other Manfrotto equipment it provides a secure hold for my equipment and allows me to quickly remove the camera when needed. I use this on both my camera and my 70-200 lens.
Bought a new ballhead for my tripod. I would not trust this for vertical shots. Bought this as a replacement for the one that I lost. This one fits but it is smaller and the lip that holds lokks flimsy.
I just wish it lasts more than the original one. There is not much to go wrong with this item.
all the Bogen stuffs are perfect for what they are designed to do.i have used their things for 20-odd years without any failures.
